From the Queen Elizabeth Way
- (QEW) take Highway 406 South (Welland)
- Exit Highway 406 at East Main Street
- Turn Right onto East Main Street
- Continue on East Main Street to Prince Charles Drive
- Turn Left onto Prince Charles Drive
- Continue on Prince Charles Drive to Townline Tunnel Rd
- Continue on Prince Charles Drive to Shaw St. Turn left onto Shaw St, for trailer parking along Colborne St.
- Turn Left onto Townline Tunnel Rd
- Entrance to Welland International Flatwater Centre is on the LHS approximately 1/2 km from the intersection of Prince Charles and Townline Tunnel Rd Trailer parking for parking lot
From Buffalo (Fort Erie)
- From Peace Bridge take QEW Toronto
- Exit QEW Toronto at Netherby Rd.
- Turn Left onto Netherby Rd
- Continue on Netherby Rd to Welland
- Netherby Rd becomes Townline Tunnel Rd after passing under Canal Tunnel
- Continue to first set of traffic lights. Course is on the right hand side.
- Continue to entrance to Welland International Flatwater Centre on the RHS approximately 1/4 km from the intersection of Canalbank St and Townline Tunnel Rd
From Niagara Fall, NY (Niagara Falls)
- From Rainbow Bridge take Hwy 420 to QEW Fort Erie
- Exit QEW Fort Erie at Netherby Rd.
- Turn Left onto Netherby Rd
- Continue on Netherby Rd to Welland
- Netherby Rd becomes Townline Tunnel Rd after passing under Canal Tunnel
- Continue to first set of traffic lights. Course is on the right hand side.
- Continue to entrance to Welland International Flatwater Centre on the RHS approximately 1/4 km from the intersection of Canalbank St and Townline Tunnel Rd
Notice to all Coaches & Athletes,
Team Bus Parking
Please be advised that due to the extremely limited parking space in and around the boathouse area, Colborne Street, north of the Colborne Street parking lot (see overall & Finish Line area maps), will be closed to general traffic and all team buses will be required to park in the old John Deere parking lot, just east of the boathouse/trailer area and the waterway. The entrance to this lot is off of Canal Bank Street (Reg Rd 68) and parking attendants will be positioned at the entrance. All athletes arriving on buses are to be dropped off at this lot and then it is a very short walk across Canal Bank Street to the boathouse/trailer area (see Boathouse Area map).
Colborne Street Access/Boathouse Shuttle Services/Athlete Drop Off
Colborne Street, north of the Colborne Street parking lot (see overall & Finish Line area maps), will be closed to general traffic and limited shuttle services will be available for transporting athletes and individuals to the boathouse/trailer area. All athletes dropped off at the Colborne Street parking lot can either wait for the shuttle service or walk to the boathouse area via the footpath on the east side of Colborne Street. However, if an athlete needs to get to the boathouse/trailer area urgently, to make weigh-ins or boat crews, they are strongly encouraged to use the John Deere parking lot (off of Canal Bank Street) as it is a very short walk across Canal Bank Street to the boathouse/trailer area (see Boathouse Area map).
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE ONLY SHUTTLE SERVICE THAT WILL BE PROVIDED IS BETWEEN THE COLBORNE ST PARKING LOT AND THE BOATHOUSE AREA.
Also, please let all family members and friends who will be attending the regatta know about the parking expectations and road closures outlined above. Adherence to the above is greatly appreciated and will help to make this event enjoyable for everyone.
