PARKING AT THE QUAKER CITY MASTERS REGATTA - Saturday, July 30th, 2011
Regatta Parking in the area of the Canoe Club [both lots] is restricted to boat trailers and cars with boats on top. Trailers are to be parked in the LOWER lot closest to St. Joe's boathouse. As you are proceeding down the Kelly Drive toward Boathouse Row, please pull your trailer off the Kelly Drive at the UPPER entrance to the Canoe Club area [ It is the first entrance] . Be alert for bicyclists and runners on the sidewalk as you pull in. Be sure to pull all the way into the lot from the Drive [or risk losing your boats] A volunteer will meet you and direct you down to the lower lot for parking. DO NOT ENTER BY WAY OF THE LOWER LOT NEAR ST. JOE'S BOATHOUSE.
On Friday evening from 6-9PM a volunteer will be present to assist any early arrivals with parking, Follow the same instructions as above, and be aware that Friday evening is a busy time on the Kelly Drive. If you arrive after 9PM please park your trailer as close as possible to St. Joe's Boathouse. The trailer should face the river [not parallel] and be close to either side of the parking area [not in the middle].
All cars with boats on top will park in the UPPER Canoe Club lot. Follow the same instructions as above. Be sure to speak to a regatta volunteer when you enter the lot. Do not park your vehicle just anywhere!
THERE IS NO GENERAL REGATTA PARKING IN THE CANOE CLUB AREA. PARTICIPANTS AND FANS ARE ASKED TO PARK EITHER IN THE LOT NEAR THE GRANDSTAND FINISH AREA OR UP THE HILL NEAR THE CANOE CLUB [TAKE THE LEFT TURN OFF KELLY DRIVE JUST BEFORE THE CANOE CLUB; GO UP THE HILL AND TURN RIGHT INTO PARKING AREA.
Thanks for observing these parking instructions. We look forward to hosting a great day of racing and fun.
