Welcome to the Eighth Annual Rocketts Landing Sprints, hosted by the Virginia Boat Club, in Richmond, Virginia on the James River at the club's downtown boathouse. 

This regatta is a straight course and the waters on the James River are usually calm.  We encourage clubs to bring their novice rowers and enjoy a fun day and enjoy a picnic sponsored by the VBC and Park and Company after racing. 

We are in our newly renovated boat house and the Boathouse Restaurant (directly above the boathouse) provides fabulous views of the river while dining.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR 2011

1. All registration will be handled online this year at www.RegattaCentral.com
2. OfficialRegatta Venue - The regatta is held on the James River at the downtownlocation of the Virginia Boat Club. All trailers, tents, launch docks,vehicle parking areas, etc. are located either on this site or directly adjacent to it. Please refer to the "Directions and Parking" tab for detailed information and instructions.
3. Medals will be issued to the first place only of each race.  (More than one entry per race. ) All races will be final.
   
4. Entry Deadline - All regatta entries must be completed online no later than midnight, June 19th, 2011.   
   
5. There will be a mandatory Coach and Cox Meeting at 8:00 a.m. at the Finish Line located near the VBC Boathouse and racing will start at 9:00 a.m.
6. Regatta Telephone, e-mail, and website - Questions regarding the regatta will be answered by e-mail at [email protected] 
   
7. Scratches and Refunds -  Refunds will not be issued if the regatta is canceled due to weather. 
8. The Event List as posted is tentative and may change based on the number of entries.  With registration closing midnight, June 18th, we hope to have the heat sheet posted by Wednesday, June 23rd.  If you have questions or concerns about the race schedule, please email the Regatta Director at [email protected]
