Griggs Reservoir runs through the city of Columbus, Ohio. Five clubs make their home along its waters, include three who row out of the area where the race will take place. This venue is the site of many regattas, including the Governors Cup, Midwest Master Sprints, and the Speakmon.

The river is 230 meters wide, and lined with trees and stately homes. There are more than 400 parking spaces in the nearby parks.
