Covered Bridge Regatta

  • Hosted By: Oregon Association of Rowers
  • 2016 Registered Regatta

The date for the 2010 Covered Bridge Regatta

is Saturday, April 10, 2009

As in years past, we will have events for juniors, masters and collegiate rowers. The information packet is available here. A preliminary schedule of events is posted on the 'Event List.' The final schedule will be completed following the closure of entries on April 1st and will be available at www.oarowing.org and at www.RegattaCentral.com. Note that the lunch break will likely follow the W Jr Var 2x event. News and near real-time results are available by following OAR_CBR on Twitter.

The D3:  Dexter Dash and Dinner

(500m relays!)

will be held on Friday, April 9th.

 - Friday night we will hold sprint relay races(approx. 500 m) for masters singles and eights (novice and experienced). Races in the late afternoon, followed by an informal and tasty dinner under the park shelter.

- Information and registration through the separate listing at RegattaCentral for the Dexter Dash and Dinner.

We encourage you to arrive on Friday to enter the sprints or just to unload boats and equipment and maybe take a practice row to be ready for Saturday.

Overnight security at the park will be provided.

All entries must be completed through the Regatta Central website by April 1st. Fees must be paid by April 1st. Late entries or late fees will be accepted only on a space-available basis and at double the original entry fee.

State of Oregon boaters must carry with them the new 'Aquatic Invasive Species Prevention Permit.' The regatta will provide permits for out of state teams.

We strongly encourage clubs and schools to bring motor launches and drivers. This has been an incredible help in the past and we need you again this year. We do reimburse for fuel!

Once again the Ed Offchiss Memorial Trophy will be awarded to the winner of the Men's Masters Single. Ed was an OAR member who passed away during the 2003 'Row for the Cure' in Portland. Team Points Trophies will be awarded to the junior and collegiate teams that accumulate the most points over the regatta.

While all registration must be completed through www.RegattaCentral.com,questions may be directed to Anita Larson at [email protected].

PLEASE NOTE:

Junior, master and collegiate teams must each register as separate entities, each subject to a separate fee cap. The fee cap is $500 for an organization's first team and $250 for each additional team.

For proper seeding and handicapping, all masters entries must include athlete's names and birthdates.
