The TRA is a non-profit, 501(c)3 organization made up of rowing volunteers and was created to raise awareness and promote the sport of rowing on Tempe Town Lake.
Our primary goal is to continue to host regattas that will offer our rowers the opportunity to compete. It is important that we expand our events to include more experienced teams as this would allow the Town Lake rowers the opportunity to test their skills against better competition. Our rowers have participated in regattas throughout the United States and have proven to the national rowing community that, indeed, competitive rowing in the desert is possible. Many of our rowers have gone on to pursue rowing at the intercollegiate level. |
