Holyoke Rows’ mission is to make river recreation accessible to a wide population.
The Paper City Regatta is both a friendly regatta for Novice first-time* racers and a high quality challenge for Masters, Juniors, and Adaptive rowers looking to measure their speed and strength.
Our goal is to put together competitive races for as many as possible. Enter early!
- 4k upstream course from the rt.91 bridge to the boathouse on Jones Ferry Rd
- 2k course for Novices starts through the rt 90/Mass Pike bridge
- 500m Adaptive/Inclusion event
A "mixed" boat can be made up of any number of any gender.
"Novice" categories (racing a 2k course) both Youth and Masters, are non-gendered and depend on honorable discretion* rather than a technical definition. (Let's get people racing!)

Parking:
- There is no spectator parking at the boathouse or on Jones Ferry Road.
- Park on either side of Main St. (a real parking lane, not just a shoulder)
- Additional space at Dean Tech, a short 8 minute walk from the boathouse.
- Carpools encouraged!
Space for trailers and car toppers is limited– let us know early if you plan to bring either.
Trash:
Carry in > Carry out. Teams and spectators are responsible for taking trash off site.
Recycle bins will be available for empty aluminum and plastic bottles and cans.
