Good morning

Our goal at the Control Commission is to check you through as quickly as possible as you head to your race. Please help us with this goal with a few simple reminders

1) The crew is all in uniform. The uniforms need to be the same throughout the crew

2) All Athletes have Acceptable ID (See 6.5 on our Rules Page more details)

3) Footstops need to:

  • Have a strap that restricts the gap between the bottom of the shoe to the base of the footplate when pulled upward a maximum of 7cm.
  • Have a single release strap that goes across both shoes and when pulled will open the velcro on both shoes

Example of acceptable shoes

These are Quick Change Shoes NOT Quick Release Shoes and must meet the requirements as outlined above

4) Bow Ball needs to be white and firmly attached

5) Have a ball number holder firmly affixed to the boat.

Looking forward to seeing you all at the 2024 Royal Canadian Henley Regatta

The Henley Regatta is pleased to announce that the Preliminary Draw for the 2024 Royal Canadian Henley Regatta is now posted.

With the 2024 World Rowing Championships coming to St Catharines in a months' time  just 4 weeks, the venue has undergone a number of infrastructure improvements highlighted by improvements to the network system and the construction of a New Finish Tower. All of these changes will provide many improvements to the delivery of the regatta in the years to come.

This year we have seen a continued growth in the entries. With this growth, when the Regatta Committee was preparing the draw, the length of racing on Saturday was extremely long when the Dash heats were placed in the morning prior to 2000 metre heats. The Committee reviewed several scenarios and determined that the best option was to run all of the dash races at the end of the day. What this means is that the Dash events with greater than 7 entries, will have multiple races and the fastest time from all of the races in that event will be crowned the winner.

Following the 2024 regatta, the Regatta Committee will be reviewing all aspects of the regatta but particularly the Dash races to determine how to provide the best possible racing experience.

A reminder that the regatta office will be open Monday July 29 from 9:30pm-5pm for any line-up changes. A reminder all names changes and late entries are due by 4pm the day prior to the start of the event. So, any changes for Tuesday heats need to be in by 4pm Monday.

Look forward to seeing you all at the 2024 Royal Canadian Henley Regatta

July 13

Just a reminder that Waitlist entries will be considered after the Entry Deadline on July 16. Unless you remove your entry from the waitlist, entries that are accepted, the Account Holder will be invoiced for the entry fee.
