What is Novice?The primary goal of this regatta was originally to offer novice rowers their initial exposure to side-by-side racing. It serves as a valuable instructional opportunity for athletes to grasp the fundamentals of racing rules. Penalties are infrequently enforced; instead, officials prioritize educating and guiding participants. Provided that the fundamental purpose of introducing novices to racing remains intact and teams refrain from exploiting the system, they are welcome to compete in the novice category.
