It's time for...Desert Sprints Regatta 2023!

We missed seeing everyone in 2021 and 2022, but we're back in action with a great regatta lined up to kick off your 2023 racing season. With our fully buoyed Albano racecourse, it's an ideal way to get accurate times and fair racing to assess your early season speed.

We had to move to a Sunday only one day event for 2023. Sunday will include masters and open events at 1000m and junior events at 1500m. The schedule has been updated to reflect that.

What's new for 2023?

• Juniors categories will be aligned to the new age-based USRowing system, and there will not be lightweight events.
• We also have included several freshman events.

LOCAL RULES

• Local rule: A boat in a men's masters event may include women rowers as long as at least half the rowers are men.
• Local rule: boats late to the start of their event will be assessed a 10 second penalty.
• Local rule: You must beat someone to get a medal. 
• Local rule: Masters boats warming up past the Rural Bridge are on their own for making it to the start on time.
• Local rule: Juniors boats are not to go past the pillars at the former West Dam.

Sunday Coaches and Coxswains meeting has been changed to 5:45am.
