2022 Western Canadian University Rowing Championships
Venue: Elk Lake, Victoria – SATURDAY October 8, 2022

WCURC ENTRY CONSIDERATIONS:
- Programs are expected to enter into the events which they believe will provide the most meaningful racing
- Programs may have unlimited entries per event
- In the event a program enters multiple crews in an event, points will only be awarded to the top placing finisher for each program. No points are awarded for Novice events.
- While this is a championship, clubs with athletes that have lesser experience are encouraged to enter in JV events if that affords their athletes better racing experience.

Entry and payment deadline is Sunday October 2nd, 2022 by 11:59PM. Please go to Regatta Central.com to enter
Event seeding for clubs will be based on order that their coach enters them in.
ENTRY FEES:
$25.00 per seat per race
TRAILER PARKING/ BOAT STORAGE
Trailer parking will be in the lower parking lot at Elk Lake. Boat storage space is available on the field near the parking lot. There will not be racks made available for this event for storage.
TRAINING SCHEDULE
Training will run until 5pm on Friday, Oct 7th. Coach boats will be available and coaches must ensure there is a coach boat on the water with their crew for safety. There will be access to the VRS boathouse and washrooms. A ‘training’ course flow pattern will be posted onsite.
WEIGH-INS
Scales will open for official weigh in on Saturday at 6:30am and will close at 8:00am.
Weigh in weight will be 1kg above RCA rules of racing weight.
LAUNCHING FOR RACING
All crews must have bow ball and heel ties properly secured prior to checking in. Check-in will occur as athletes move through control commission on the lake side of the docks. From this point on all crews must be prepared to launch and row. Oars must accompany all boats to the water. Shoes must be removed from the dock after launching.
HOTSEATING
Crews wishing to hot seat must report to control commission.
