USRowing NW Masters Regional Championship
- Hosted By: USRowing
- Cancelled
The 2021 USRowing Northwest Masters Regional Championships has been canceled for this year. We look forward to bringing this great regatta back to Vancouver Lake, in 2022.
After reaching out to our regional program heads, it became clear that this year's race would not be the Northwest Regional Championships that we have all become accustomed to. The feedback that we received was that while there are teams that would like to compete, the return to rowing in the Northwest due to COVID-19 is a slow process. The number of athletes able to come was going to be very low, with about a 60-70% drop in attendance. There are also many of our usual teams that cannot come at all, either from not being able to access their boathouses or not being able to make the trip due to travel restrictions.
We would like to see all of you this year, and if you can make the trip to Oak Ridge, TN for the Masters National Championships (August 12-15) we would love to see you. We will be running our full event there with four days of solid racing with some of the best Masters programs in the country, eager to get back in the water. The entry packet wil be posted and entries will open this Friday, May 28.
