DUE TO COVID-19 BOAT ENTRIES WILL BE CAPPED AT 150

Crews from outside North Carolina are eligible to race at the North Carolina Rowing Championships. 

Novice status for youth has been redefined to those rowers who began racing after the completion of the Fall season. 

There will be no Exhibition events. 

Regarding Covid-19 mitigation measures, we will have numerous in place, which will effectively make the event no different to any individual teams own regular practice at their home lake/river. These measures will include:

Masks to be worn by all spectators, rowers, and volunteers while onshore (participants may remove these once having launched from the dock)

Normal social distancing by all individuals on shore

hand sanitizing stations throughout the park

Each team will be allocated its own portajohns

Coaches/referee/coxswain meetings normally held prior to racing will not happen. An instructional video of the layout of the venue will be emailed to visiting coaches in advance. 

All live results will be posted online - this will ensure no gatherings at the venue to see results.

Team tents (for food service only) will be permitted but no tents will be permitted for team gatherings. 

We will permit food trucks onsite and there will be markers spaced on the ground to indicate social distancing requirements

Teams will be required to bring extra masks. 

There will be no lightweight events. 

Coxswains will not be required to weigh in - therefore there is no minimum weight for coxswains.
