2018 Red Island Regatta

Welcome to the Red Island Regatta hosted by Rowing PEI. This unique regatta is a hybrid format that offers sprint flat water racing and a coastal rowing race. The event brings together clubs from Canada and the USA to compete on a 1,000 metre race course located on the Brudenell River. The setting is scenic, located next to the four-star facilities at the Rodd Brudenell Resort, the Brudenell and Dundarave golf courses and the Brudenell River Campground.

The coastal competition will be a head race held from the same location, launching from a nearby sand spit, rowing to open coastal water at the mouth of the Brudenell River.

This hybrid regatta will provide opportunities for rowers to experience the best of both types of racing.

Awards will be given to first, second and third place finishers at the end of the day.

Early registration is encouraged as entries to this regatta may be capped. If cancellation of this regatta is unavoidable due to inclement weather or for any reason beyond the control of the organizing committee, no refunds will be offered.
