Hello and Welcome to the Head of the Christina 2017

We want to thank all the teams who came back last year after we had to cancel the 2015 regatta.  Hopefully the weather cooperates again this year.  We also hope to see even more teams and entries for 2017.

There is a construction project affecting the usual finish line area so the course will be shortened slightly.  Instead of rowing the far end of the shops where a new bridge is being constructed we will finish before he downriver end of the shops.  There is an old crane boom turned out over the river marking the finish line plus big buoys in the water and the timers tent under the crane  The good news with the shorter course is that the tide will be going out through the day during the regatta, High Tide at the finish line is 9:39 AM and Low Tide is 4:09 PM.  Rowing into the current and the tide going out at the same time should still make a good length race time wise.

We will have lunches available for preorder, $6.50 gets you a sandwhich, a beverage and a snack.

Please use the links to the left for specific information.  Be sure to know the regatta rules and things specific to the City of Wilmington.  Most importantly, NO GRILLS, there is to be no cooking or even using grills or other things to heat food.
