Cancellation Notice

Dear Coaches,

I hope all of your winter seasons are going well! As we start to get ready for the spring race season I need to let you all know that Greenwich Crew has decided to not host the Greenwich Invitational this year.  We had been hoping to grow the regatta to four lanes and 1500 meters of racing, however the piece of water we had hoped to use will not allow us to safely run the regatta. We were considering going back to Greenwich Harbor when we came across the Steve Neczypor Memorial Regatta on April 4th in Camden, NJ.  We think this new regatta will provide a great opportunity for our athletes to gain valuable experience racing over 2000 meters and is close enough to allow it to be a one day regatta.

I can not thank each of you enough for your loyal support over the past eleven years.  The Greenwich Invitational would not have been able to grow that way it did without your attendance. I hope you all will consider attending the regatta in Camden.  I spoke with Brooks Reinhard, the Regatta Director and he said all of the teams who have attended the Greenwich Invitational are more then welcome.
