3 BRIDGES, 2 RIVERS, 1 HECKUVA RACE!

The First Coast Head Race is an annual regatta held on the St. Johns and Arlington Rivers in Jacksonville.  The 4.8 mile course is a mirror image of the Head of the Charles course, and a great tune-up for that prestigious regatta.  The course begins near the Mathews Bridge, passes under the University and Cesery Bridges, and winds its way down protected waters, past residences and marshes.  Dolphins and Florida birds are found along the course.

In addition to the bridges, the course has two turns and a short no passing zone.  The race schedule should allow for doubling.  Sign up for a sculling event, then sweep your way down the course in a four and or eight.
