Regatta Course and Format
Golden Gardens Beach Sprints has two 250-meter race lanes.
Each event begins with a time trial, which is followed by head-to-head heats. Read the advancement process below carefully as it is different for singles, doubles, and quads.
In each heat, one competitor from each boat begins by running from a start point on land towards their boat. Once they have entered the boat, each boat navigates a slalom course around two buoys, turns around a third buoy approximately 250 meters from shore, then returns to shore in a straight line, whereupon one rower exits each boat and runs up the beach to the finish line.

Note
As time and supervisory ability permit, we will allow limited practice---and we will give time for everyone to find their marks in the boats---before the start of singles racing and between the singles, doubles, and quads.
