2024 MHRC Summer #1 Learn to Row Camp, May 18th, 19th, and 20th
Basics of rowing for 13-18 year olds, in sculling boats and sweep boats, like the 8s featured in "Boys in the Boat".
Rowers must be at least 13 years old at start of camp.
If participants pass swim test requirement (see later in the form), they will wear waisted life jacket on the water. If participants do not meet swim test requirement, they will wear a full vested life jacket on the water.
All participants must be able to hold a 25 pound weight over their head, in order to be able to carry their share (weight) of the boat.
All participants must weigh at least 100 pounds and no more than 230 pounds, and be a minimum of 5'3"in order to row. Those under 5'3" will be trained as coxswains.
The camp fees are NOT refundable. Full attendance is required. Informational Zoom Call before the start of your session will be held.
Mile High Rowing Club Learn-To-Row camps are conducted on the west side of the Cherry Creek State Park. We operate out of the Pelican Bay Marina.

Private Lessons

12-13 Year Olds, Intro to Rowing
12 and 13 year olds will be introduced to rowing through the use of rowing machines and recreational singles that will not leave the marina area. All participants will wear a full lifejacket for these sessions and know how to swim.
Tuesday to Friday from 7:30-9:30 am. Paperwork will be sent to you before your session starts and will need to be completed and either emailed to Coach Lisa Dirth or handed in on the first day to her.
