           We are reviving the Alumni Boat Races and fielding crews (men and women) from The
           Boat Races, Oxford and Cambridge college rowers and Masters rowers for a boat race
           on the Schuylkill. The Blues are actively recruiting so please join our ranks, including
           Blues oarsmen Michael Wherley and Paul Daniels, and heed this 'Call to Oars'!

                             The Challenge has been Issued & Accepted. Get Ready to Get It On!

            Don't worry about being in rowing shape as this is a 500 meter dash. Please note
            that ALL rowers are eligible to compete in the Masters race. 

    After our races please join us and alumni from both Universities at Vesper Boat Club for the           Viewing Party of The 2017 Boat Races in London. Make some new Boat Race memories with           your fellow rowers and alumni.
 
    When: Sunday, April 2, 2017 – Races tentative start 8:30am,
                                                     Viewing Party 10:30am to 1:00pm
 
    Where: Schuylkill River - Races: start below Girard Avenue Bridge - finish line at
                                            the Viking, Boathouse Row, Philadelphia, PA

                                                        Viewing Party: Vesper Boat Club, 10 Boathouse Row

    Fee: $35.00 - Includes Rowing*, Admission to the Viewing Party (includes lunch** & drinks). Whether you want to row, row and attend the Viewing Party, or just attend the Viewing Party the fee is the same - $35. If you only want to attend the Viewing Party you need to click on the 'News' category in the top left area of this page under INFORMATION to make your payment.

*Please note, seats in boats are limited and we cannot guarantee you a seat.

**Lunch includes a variety of sandwiches, pasta & fruit salads, antipasto, snacks and desserts. Attendees over the age of 21 can enjoy a glass (or two) of Pimm's, as well as beer and wine. Soda, water, and coffee will also be available (menu subject to change).
